Why can't I see the Instagram account I want to add to Publer?
If you are getting the error "No eligible social accounts to add" when trying to connect to your Instagram Page, then most probably there is an error not allowing the connection between Facebook and Instagram to go through, or some permissions are missing on the Business Integrations section.
Note: For the moment only Instagram Creator or Business accounts that have been connected to a Facebook Page are supported. To convert your Instagram account to a Creator or Business one go here. To connect your Facebook Page to your Instagram account go here.
Go to the Facebook page that you have connected to Instagram.
On the left, go to Settings of this Facebook page.
Then, go to Linked Accounts and choose Instagram.
If you have any warnings, make sure to review them accordingly.
Follow the steps on the guide here for more guidance.
Finally, try to connect the Instagram account again.
Warning: If you cannot Review the Connection from neither Facebook, please check Instagram and the Meta Business Manager and make sure there are no alerts there. If need be, create a Meta Business Manager account for the Instagram and Facebook accounts, by following the steps on the Business Manager.
Go to Social Accounts and click on Connect for Instagram.
Select Instagram and click on Continue after making sure that you have a Creator or Business Instagram Account connected to a Facebook Page that you Administer.
In the following screen make sure to select Choose what you allow instead of Continue.
Here, make sure to select all the Instagram Accounts and the linked Facebook Pages that you want Publer to have access to.
Make sure that all the permissions are toggled, scroll to end and hit Continue.
Lastly, select all the Instagram accounts that you want to connect to Publer.
Make sure you switch to your main/personal account on Facebook (Not a Page).
Go to Facebook Settings > Business Integrations and search for or click on "publer.io".
In the popup, make sure that you've given Publer access to all the required permissions.
Make sure to scroll down, accept everything and click Save.
Once you do that, try adding the missing Instagram account one more time.
Go to Facebook Settings > Business Integrations one more time and search for or click on "publer.io".
Click on Remove on the right of "publer.io" integration.
You can also click on View and Edit and in the popup, scroll down and click on "Remove".
This will simply disconnect Publer from the Facebook Business Integrations, it will not remove the social accounts from Publer, and none of your content/insights will get lost. However, you will need to reauthenticate the accounts connected to your Facebook Profile again.
Once you do that, try adding the missing Instagram account one more time.
Don't forget to reauthenticate the existing Facebook Pages, Groups, and Instagram accounts.
