Why are my links not being shortened on Publer?

If your links aren't being shortened on Publer, here are some possible reasons:

Your link shortener isn’t connected to your social account's URL settings.
You've exceeded the quota or plan limit for your link shortener.
The link shortener itself is having technical issues.

Case 1: Link Shortener Not Connected to URL Settings

Link shortener settings are specific to each account. You’ll need to manually set up the link shortener for every social account you manage, even if you’ve already done it for another.

Go to the URL settings of your account.
Choose the 'Shorten any link' option to automatically shorten all links in your posts.

Case 2: Exceeded Quota or Plan Limit

If you’ve reached your link shortener’s limit, you might see errors like:

"Number of links-classic exceeded"
"You have reached your monthly quota. Upgrade your account to raise your limit."

This means you’ve used up all the resources available in your plan.

To Fix the Issue:

Upgrade your plan: Increase your limits by upgrading your link shortener account.
Try another service: Remove the current link shortener and use one of our supported options .

If you are still not able to fix the issue after upgrading your account, simply contact us via the Live Chat on our website or via email at [email protected].

Case 3: Issues with the Link Shortener

There may be times when link shorteners encounter issues that are beyond our control. This could be an issue with the URL shortener's servers or a bug on their system.

To Fix the Issue:

Reach out to the support team of the link shortener you're using.
Try using a different link shortener to see if it works better.

Keep in mind:

TikTok doesn’t support link shortening since it lacks a “Link in Bio” feature or posting links.
Links will only appear shortened after the post is scheduled or published. To check, go to the Posts tab after publishing.
