How to download and set up the Google Authenticator on your mobile
In order to use the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on Publer, you have to download a time-based one-time password (TOTP) authenticator app, such as the Google Authenticator, Bitwarden, 1Password, LastPass Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Twilio etc.
Go to App Store.
At the search bar type in Google Authenticator.
If the app is not already on your phone, the button will read FREE and you can tap on it.
Once you have entered your Apple ID correctly or used the Touch ID the app will start to install on your device.
Go to Google Play.
At the search bar type in Google Authenticator.
Tap on the app icon and then the Install button.
Open the app and press on Get started.
Sign in or use Authenticator without an account.
If you've signed in with the incorrect email, you can change the account by clicking on Change account.
Click on Add a code.
You will be prompted to either Scan a QR code or manually Enter a setup key.
If you choose to Scan the QR code, you have to allow Google Authenticator to have access to the camera.
When using 2FA, you'll enter your password and a code from this app.
The codes will get generated and you can proceed with finalizing the process here.
If you’re signed in to your Google Account within Google Authenticator, your codes will automatically be backed up and restored on any new device you use.
You can also manually transfer your codes to another device, even if you’re not signed in to a Google Account.
