Why is the "Open in Facebook" option not working?

If you're using the Publer app on your Android device, you might encounter issues with the "Open in Facebook" option from post reminders.

If you click "Open in Facebook" for a Facebook Profile post, it might show a list of groups to post to instead.

Your Android device opens the Reel composer instead of the photos when you try to open them on Facebook.

This is due to the default settings, which you need to reset/clear. To do that follow the steps below:

To reset the default actions for Facebook:

Navigate to your phone's Settings menu.
Scroll down and go to Apps.
Find Facebook in the list of installed apps by scrolling down and open App Settings.
Click on Open by default settings within the Facebook app details.



Lastly click on Clear defaults to reset the default actions for Facebook.
Once you clear the default settings for Facebook, try opening the Publer post again and click on "Open in Facebook" option. You'll be asked to choose where to post it (e.g., to Your Story for your personal Facebook profile).

If you're unable to Clear defaults, you may have to uninstall and reinstall the Facebook app in order to reset the default actions.
