(Mobile App) How to tag/mention accounts on Instagram posts
Tagging Instagram accounts on photos or reels is a great way to engage with your audience or brands/businesses that you are working with!
Click the plus icon on Publer and select the desired Instagram account.
Upload or chose an image from the media library.
Once the image is there click on the the upper-right side of the image on the little tag icon.
Next click on the Tag people or products button:
Tap anywhere on the image to start tagging, and simply type in the Instagram usernames in the box field.
Usernames are not case-sensitive, so you can write them in capital letters or lowercase. However, you have to make sure that the Instagram username is 100% correct. Due to API limitations, we can only suggest Instagram accounts that you use or have used in Publer.
Once you have added all the tags, you can click on the Save button and proceed with publishing the post.
A tag can always be removed by clicking on the x button on the right of the tag name.
First, upload or add a video from media library on Publer.
Then, click on Tag people or products, once the Instagram Reel is ready.
Select Tag people and type the usernames of the Instagram accounts you wish to tag.
Due to Instagram limitations, Publer can't autocomplete or spellcheck usernames for Personal accounts, only Professional ones. Please double-check the spelling of the username of the Personal accounts before saving. Private Instagram accounts can't be tagged.
Once you have added all the tags, you can click on the Save button and proceed with publishing the post, you can see the indication of the tags on the interface.
Due to API limitations, we can only suggest Instagram accounts that you use or have used in Publer, otherwise you have to make sure that you are that you are inserting the correct username.
The tags have to refer to a valid Instagram handle, and the account must be public.
You can only tag up to 20 accounts per post and you can spread them out however you like in carousel posts.
