How to set up RetargetKit URL Shortener
To set up RetargetKit URL Shortener on Publer:
Go to Social Accounts and select an account.
Select URL Settings and click on RetargetKit.
Go here to generate the API credentials with RetargetKit.
Generate an API token on RetargetKit and copy it.
Paste the API token on Publer and click on Connect.
Once RetargetKit is connected to Publer, choose whether you want to:
Shorten any link. -- Publer will shorten all the links shared in the caption or comment of the post.
Shorten only link posts. -- Publer will only shorten the main link in the post.
Note: When you choose to shorten only link posts Publer will only shorten the main link in the post. For example, if you choose this option, create a video post, and add a link to the caption, that link won't be shortened. In this case, the link will be shortened only when the post is a link post (with a thumbnail).
Moreover, you can choose the Domain name that you want to use for this social account etc.
You can always deactivate RetargetKit by clicking on Disconnect:
Keep in mind:
The link(s) will be automatically shortened the moment you schedule or publish the post.
You need to do the above for every social account that you want to shorten the links for (you can easily duplicate settings by going to the account settings page).
For the moment, you cannot select a custom domain.
If you need to sync Campaigns, simply click on Reconnect.
