How to insert Alt text for images
Inserting Alt text for images is important as it provides context of what the image shows, specifically when it cannot be viewed for any reason. When used properly, it can also help with the SEO score.
You cannot add Alt text to images in Instagram, Threads, or Facebook Personal Profiles posts, due to API limitations from the networks.
Go to Create.
Design your photo post.
Hover over the photo and click on the bottom right corner icon.
When clicking on the Alt text icon, you will get a screen where you can add the desired text.
Finally, click on Save and proceed with scheduling the post.
Note: Inserting Alt text is supported on Publer for Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Mastodon, and Facebook (except Profiles). However, when creating multi-photo posts on Facebook, adding Alt text will also count as the photo caption.
