How to upload videos to Publer from external URLs
Publer requires a direct link to a native video on the internet, which typically ends in formats such as .mp4, .mov, .webm etc. Native videos are those that are accessed directly through a web browser and not via a 3rd party player or a video-sharing website.
To get the video URL, usually you have to right-click on the video and select Copy video address.
For example: For YouTube right click on the 3 dots for the selected video and click on Share.
Click Copy to get the video address.
Open Publer on the Create tab.
Paste the URL you just copied into the text composer.
Keep in mind that if you right-click and don’t see the option “Copy Video Address”, that video is not native and cannot be processed by Publer.
If that’s the case, use our free tool to download your media. Learn more about the tool here.
